Daniel Wyman will be stepping into the position of Visual Caption Head for the 2008 season. Dan is currently a 7th semester senior in the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut. At UConn, Dan is studying trombone with George Sanders of the Hartford Symphony. He has performed as a member of the University Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Collegium Musicum, Festival Choir and the newly formed Armonía Brass Trío. During the summer of 2007, Dan was accepted into the Domaine Forget Académie de Musique in Saint-Irénée, Canada. While there he had the incredible opportunity to study with trombonists Ricardo Casero, principal trombone of the Barcelona Symphony, Peter Sullivan, principal trombone of the Pittsburgh Symphony, and Pierre Beaudry, bass trombone for the Montreal Symphony. Dan marched lead baritone from 2003-2005 with the Division I finalist Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps. During his 2006 summer, he was a trombone instructor and beginning band conductor for the French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts in Hancock, NY. Dan has also played trombone as a pit orchestra and freelance musician throughout Connecticut and New York. This fall was his second year as the low brass and visual coordinator for the Killingly High School Marching Band.
